CCM SECRETARY POSITION

Job title: CCM Secretary

Reports to: CCM Lesotho

Duty station: Maseru

Duration: 2 years

 

CCM stands for Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM). CCM is a “National Public Private Partnership Body” established in response to requirements and recommendations of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. This is an overall guiding body for the use of Global Fund resources in Lesotho. 

 

The CCM is composed of 25 members selected from the following different sectors of the society with the following representation namely: public and private sectors, civil society, academic and research institutions, religious/faith based organizations, multilateral and bilateral agencies, People Living With HIV and AIDS and others.

 

Functions and responsibilities:  

  • Secretary to the CCM
  • Prepares  and circulates minutes and agenda  for the CCM  meetings and CCM Committees  
  • Maintains the records of the CCM and its committees.
  • Coordinates both CCM and CCM Committee meetings.
  • Share information with the Local Fund Agent, the Principal Recipients, and other stakeholders, including members of the public.
  • Carry out other functions as specified in the CCM Secretariat Terms of Reference or as determined by the CCM.
  • Coordinates national forum of all stakeholders to be held at least once a year to disseminate information on the activities of the Global Fund
  • Distributes Global Fund documents   and any other documents as required.
  • Issue public announcements of calls for proposals and facilitates the work that would be performed by the Proposal Writing teams.

 

Recruitment Qualification

 

Educational qualifications:                                                             

Post graduate studies in social sciences and minimum of five years working experience and knowledge of programmes development, coordination and management at senior level preferably in HIV/AIDS and TB programs.

 

 

 

Knowledge and skills

·         Excellent report writing and minutes taking skills

·         Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

·         Sound understanding of performance based funding

·         Broad understanding of HIV/AIDS and TB interventions at all levels

·         Maturity, integrity, good interpersonal and communications skills

·         Ready to work in multi cultural environment

·         Computer literacy is an added advantage
