The cast of “Kau la Poho II” HIV education Television movie has commenced on February 28, 2011 at Sefikeng in Berea district. This program is implemented by Ministry of Health and Social Welfare through the Plot Point Company under the directorship of Silasi Monyatsi.

The Kau la Poho II is funded under Global Fund R8 HIV grant aimed at strengthening Behavior change Communication (BCC) with the objective of preventing re-infection and new infection of HIV and AIDS by encouraging different group of society to change their risk behavior that make them vulnerable to HIV.

This movie is the continuation of the “Kau la Poho I” that was released in 2008 supported under Global Fund Round 2 HIV grant.

In an interview with the Director of the Movie Mr. Silasi Monyatsi said in the previous movie, the community were seem to be ignorant about HIV prevention issues but in this new movie most of the community are now educated about HIV and AIDS and make informed decisions about their lives particularly on HIV prevention and treatment adherence.

Monyatsi indicated that as this is the countinuation of the first movie most of the characters used in the previous cast are also appearing in the current movie. The movie is build under the objective of disseminating health education through television channel.

The cast equipment and machinery are hired from South Africa together with some technical staff who will provide capacity building for the local technical staff in the production team.
